Not many people know that bitcoin was originally handed out to early stakeholders for free. There were no crypto exchanges at the time to facilitate transactions. However, when bitcoin was first traded in 2009, the transaction happened at a rate of $0.00099 per BTC. Today, BTC is trading just shy of $17,000. Every other crypto dreams of copying the success of bitcoin. Some cryptos have racked up huge prices and have become expensive for most investors. Fortunately, tokens like Shiba Inu (SHIB), , and Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) remain affordable. In fact, they are valued below $1 and are racing toward this magic number. Who’ll win the race first?
Shiba Inu (SHIB)
For most crypto investors, Shiba Inu (SHIB) is either a meme coin or a copycat of Uniswap. And neither of those credentials has proved good for it. There are dozens of meme coins out there. Also, Uniswap offers much higher liquidity. So, investors have largely ignored Shiba Inu. The Shiba Inu user community tried to establish utility for Shiba Inu with an ecosystem, but that has not panned out either. In truth, Shiba Inu has struggled to find its place among the tens of thousands of cryptos vying for netizens’ attention.
Although touted as Dogecoin-killer, Shiba Inu is nowhere near its rival’s popularity or market cap. The highest value Shiba Inu ever reached was about $0.00008; from there, it has now fallen to $0.000008, a 90% loss in value. Shiba Inu users have no hope for the token to recover to its all-time high this year, let alone blast past into the $1 territory.
Protocol (SNW)
It’s incredibly hard and rare to find a crypto with the potential to deliver 1,000x returns; it’s even harder to HODL until the returns are realized. Protocol (SNW) users are at such a juncture. Protocol (SNW) is yet to launch next month, but it has already grown by 400% in value during the three presale stages. The price of Protocol (SNW) was originally set at $0.065. However, by stage 3 sale, it had grown to $0.325. Analysts now predict a 5,000% growth trajectory for Protocol (SNW) in 2023. If they’re right, that will push Protocol (SNW) above the $16 mark.
If things go well, Protocol (SNW) will hit the $1 mark by the end of this quarter. So, investors should consider making Protocol (SNW) a part of their portfolio. The cross-chain bridge connects multiple blockchains to each other and creates an internet of blockchains. As Protocol (SNW) adds more cryptos to its bridge, its value will soar.
Terra Classic (LUNC)
In a sense, Terra Classic (LUNC) has already breached the $1 mark when it was still just Terra and pegged to stablecoins. There was a time when Terra was valued at around $115. However, since Terra lost its peg, crashed, and eventually forked into Terra Classic, the token has dropped to $0.00016. Many investors have already written off Terra Classic as a failed experiment. After all, the blockchain had but one job – offer stability to TerraUSD – and it failed. So, it will be excruciatingly hard for the blockchain to recover lost trust.
Even so, Terra Classic does make news of double-digit growth rates now and then, but that’s only because its market cap and price are so low that even one whale investor’s transactions can send big ripples across the blockchain. In any case, Terra Classic’s journey back to $1 is an uphill battle, one that the crypto won’t be winning anytime soon, even if it manages to do it.
